What happens when a selection gets voided?
If a selection gets voided, the entry will reduce in size by one for every void in the entry. This will also change the multiplier for the respective lineup size after the void. The full reversion table for every lineup size, and how voided/tied/revived picks are treated at the entry-requirement level, is in the Betr Picks House Rules.
*In Betr Picks group play, entries that void down will remain in the original group despite the void down.
For example, an 8 pick entry that was voided down to a 7 pick entry will remain in its original 8 pick group.
If an 8-pick entry includes a voided pick and the remaining 7 picks are all wins (a perfect entry), it will receive the 7-pick payout multiplier (50x), not the 8-pick multiplier (100x).
However, if an 8-pick entry includes a voided pick and is not perfect, but finishes alone in first place on a leaderboard, the winnings will be based on the 8-pick leaderboard prize ($100 per leaderboard).
Operational notes not covered in House Rules:
Entries placed in Colorado have a 3-pick minimum requirement.
What can cause a selection to be voided?
Game canceled or postponed
Depending on the market and how long the game was postponed, picks may be marked as DNP/Void since the game was canceled or postponed. The full scheduling-change and cancellation policy — including the exact rescheduling window and the exceptions that keep a contest valid — is defined in the Betr Picks House Rules. If any game is abandoned mid-event (injury, weather, crowd trouble, etc.), contests already settled up to the point of abandonment will stand.
Line or projection error
Betr has the right to DNP/Void any pick as a result of a clear error in a stat line or projection. If Betr Picks cancels a contest due to an error, you'll be notified via the email address on your account. See the Betr Picks House Rules for the full definition of "error" and examples.
Player injury
Players injured in-game are not exempt from our standard player voids policy — if a player plays in a game but leaves early, the selection is generally settled on the stats recorded, not voided.
The only exception is eligible NFL, NBA, CFB, MLB & WNBA injuries that occur in the first half where the player does not play in the second half of the game. See our Injury Insurance (Revive) promotion for full sport-by-sport eligibility criteria.
Can I cancel or void my own entry?
Yes — separate from the system-triggered voids above, you can cancel/void an entry yourself within the first 3 minutes of placing it, directly via the app. Access the entry within the first 3 minutes and you'll see the option to cancel it.
Important notes:
Entries that contain a live pick cannot be canceled after submission.
Entries that contain special picks (discounted or free) can be voided and used again by speaking to an associate.
Social Sportsbook entries cannot be cancelled.
