Betr Social Sportsbook House Rules

Updated this week

1. Method for the Calculation and Payment of Winning Entries

Each entry placed on the Betr platform has a “Multiplier” of odds starting from 1.01X with no maximum. A user’s entered dollar figure will be multiplied by the Multiplier to determine the final payout of winning entries. For example, if a user places a $100 entry at a Multiplier of 1.50X, and the entry wins, the entry will profit $50 and return $150 to the player. If the Multiplier is 5X, a $100 winning entry will profit $400 and return $500 to the player.

2. Notification of Odds or Proposition Changes

Betr Social Sportsbook displays real-time information (multipliers, lines, and potential payouts) when placing entries. These are all subject to fluctuations that are determined solely at Betr Social Sportsbook’s discretion. Customers will be notified within the entrieslip if any odds for their selection(s) change.

3. Entry Resulting

All markets will be settled on the basis of official scoring providers or statistics provided by the governing body of the specified sport. In the event of any discrepancies between data of official scoring providers and that of tournament websites, the data of official scoring providers will take precedence.

4. Types of Entries Accepted

The following entry types will be accepted on approved leagues and events:

  • “Moneyline" is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) outcome of a game, event, tournament, or competition. If the game ends in a tie, then entries will be declared void.

  • “3-way Winner” is where it is possible to pick the outcome of a game or event where the option of a tie is also offered.

  • "Handicap" (To win or lose by, Spread, Puck Line, Run Line) is where it is possible to pick the team to win a game, or subset of a game, while adding or subtracting a set number of points from the score.

  • “Totals” (2-way & 3way) is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) amount of a predefined occurrence (e.g. goals, points, corners, rebounds, etc.).

  • For 2-way, should the total amount of the listed occurrences be exactly equal to the line, then all entries on this offer will be declared void.

  • For 3-way, the option of a tie is also offered.

  • "Correct Score" is where it is possible to pick the exact score of a game/event, or part of it.

  • "Half time/Full time" is where it is possible to pick the result in Half time and the outcome at the end of the listed time frame.

  • "Period" is where it is possible to pick the outcome of each separate period within a game/event.

  • "Draw No Bet" (aka Moneyline) is where it is possible to pick a team to win but the entry is void if the event ends in a draw.

  • "Double Chance" is where it is possible to entry simultaneously on two outcomes of a game or event. Example: Team USA Soccer to win or draw.

  • “Odd/Even” is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) amount of a predefined occurrence (e.g. Goals, points, hits, runs, rebounds, corners, etc.). “Odd” is 1,3,5. etc.; “even” is 0,2,4,etc.

  • “Player Props” is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) amount of player related stats during a game. Examples of these would be a “Quarterback’s Total Passing Yards” in a Football game, or a stated player to hit a Home Run in a Baseball game.

  • “Game Props” is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) propositions outcomes of a game or event. Examples of these are “To go to extra innings” in a specific Baseball game, or “Highest scoring half” in a Football game.

  • “Team Props” is where it is possible to pick the (partial or definite) team-related propositions outcomes in a game or event. Examples of these include “Home Team total hits” for a Baseball game, or “Home Team’s next basket type” for a Basketball game.

  • “Proposition entry” is where it is possible to choose a statistical subset of a game being played, examples include “result of next drive”, “next pitch ball/strike”,” total yards rushing by a running back”.

  • “Same Game Combo”/Single game entries are "parlay style" entries, where it is possible to combine two or more selections from within a single game or event. They are offered as a special market given the related nature of many selections within a standard event. All Same Game Combo entries are subject to the Rules that apply to a single event’s individual sport. Examples of these include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Home to win, more than 40 match points and more than 4 fields goals

  • Away to win, Specific player to have more than 15 points and game to go to overtime.

  • “Same Game Combo” are subject to the following settlement rules:

  • If all the selections within a pre-game Same Game Combo win, the entry will be settled as a win.

  • If any selection within a pre-game Same Game Combo is a push or void, and all remaining selections within that pre-game Same Game Combo are a win (i.e., there are no losing selections), the entry will be settled as a win with recalculated odds and payout reflecting the remaining winning selections that are not a push or void.

  • If any selection within a pre-game Same Game Combo loses, then the entry will be settled as losing

  • If all selections within a pre-game Same Game Combo are a push or void, the pre-game same game Combo selections will be settled as no action

  • ”Outright", “Future” "Place" is where it is possible to pick the outright competition/event winners, as well as derivative markets; and where approved apply to Awards. Should two or more participants share finishing positions, the payout will be calculated by dividing the odds by the number of participants sharing those certain positions and are settled accordingly. Examples of these are “A Specific Team to win Super Bowl LIX”, or “A Specific Team to reach 2025 Western Conference Finals”.

  • “In-game/In-play” is where it is possible to pick a market of any of the entry types above but are offered once the event is deemed to be ‘live’. “Multipliers” are revised constantly based on the action occurring during the event. Example of this is “Home Team’s Current Drive Outcome”.

  • A "Head-to-Head" is a competition between two or three participants/outcomes, originating from either an officially organized event, or else, as virtually defined by Betr.

  • “Straight entry” allows the customer to pick a single selection.

  • “Combo entry” allows the customer to place a pick two or more selections, or Same Game Combos, with the individual odds being multiplied together. If any selection within a combo entry loses the entire entry is deemed to be a loser.

  • “Boosts” (increased ‘multipliers’ promotions on specific selections) are offered a promotional pick specific selections or markets. Boosts can be offered as a straight entry, a packaged combo entry of two or more selections.

5. Amendments/Cancellations to Events & Tournaments

Events:

  • If an event is played at a different location to the one originally specified by the organizing body, entries will stand unless a fixture takes place at the home venue of the original visiting participant or team. In this instance, selections will be made void. Please see sport-specific rules for further exceptions.

  • Events which start times are anticipated (brought forward) but remain scheduled to be played within the same matchday/game week/round (as applicable) and, without prejudice to past-posting and similar occurrences as defined in Section A the change does not modify the order of official fixtures for any of the participants in the offer.

  • In a team or individual event, selections will be made void where there is a change to one or more the teams or individual participants.

  • Where the eligible participants in an event are changed materially or conditions are significantly altered, Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to void an event in its entirety. For example, if a boxing match becomes unsanctioned and is held as an exhibition with a different rule set, or a soccer friendly which was originally advertised as ‘Team A v Team B’ becomes ‘Team A vs Team B Under 21s’.

  • If the structure of an event is changed on an individual basis from the competition rulebook in the following ways, Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to void selections:

  • Stated changes in advance to the number of Period/Half/Quarter or adjustments to the lengths of these.

  • Stated changes to scoring procedure, such as amendment to number of points awarded for meeting a certain criteria.

  • Stated changes to the format of a team event such as a reduced/increased number of participants per team.

6. Amendments/Cancellations to Futures Markets

Where a futures market has different rules, these will be referred to in the Sport-Specific Rules. In the absence of these rules the following will apply in general to all futures markets:

  • If a tournament which has been offered as a futures market is shortened due to unforeseen events such as (but not limited to) strike action, lockdowns due to a pandemic, cancellations due to war/terrorism Betr Social Sportsbook will settle markets according to the official result declared by the organizing body. If no announcement regarding resumption, amendment or cancellation is made by the organizing body within 60 days of the initial announcement regarding the postponement or delay of the competition then entries will be made void. If the competition resumption date is announced within this 60-day period and the competition is to be resumed and played out in full at a later date then all entries will stand.

  • If a winner (sole or joint) is declared based on current standings then this will be acknowledged and entries on these selections will be settled as winners accordingly. entries on other selections will be settled as losers.

  • If the organizing body declares that the tournament is abandoned and no winner is declared entries will be made void.

  • In markets where the full result of all available selections has already been determined settlement will be allowed to stand. For example:

  • If a 17 game NFL regular season is cut short after 13 games and a market has been offered on a team to win Over/Under 7.5 games, if that team has already won 8 games, then the market will be settled in full.

  • Similarly, if at time of postponement the same team has won a total of 1 game, the market would once again be settled in full, due to the fact that the nominated team could only possibly reach a total of 5 wins.

7. In-play Entries

  • If a market is not scheduled to be offered in-play but Betr Social Sportsbook fails to suspend the market at the relevant time, then:

  • entries taken after the advertised start time, where one is made available, will be made void.

  • Where no start time is made available Betr Social Sportsbook will aim to ascertain the start time via sources including competition organizers, licensed broadcaster time stamps, official team/participant social media updates. entries placed after this start time will be made void.

  • If an in-play market is left open for entry after it has reached a conclusion or the result of the stated market has been determined then entries on this market will be made void regardless of their result.

  • For the purposes of in-play entry, customers should be aware that transmissions described as “live” by some broadcasters may actually be delayed or pre-recorded. The extent of any delay may vary depending on the set-up through which they are receiving pictures or data. Please also be aware that, for operational reasons, entries made in-play may be subjected to a delay. If a selection is suspended or the odds change during this delay Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right not to accept the entry.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook will make every effort to ensure that accurate data is displayed in accompaniment to in-play events. However, due to some reliance on third party data and the existence of human error, Betr Social Sportsbook cannot guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of live scores, time remaining and the status of games displayed within our live entry product. Betr Social Sportsbook accept no liability for the incorrect display of this information

  • In markets where the full result of available selections has not been determined entries will be made void. For example:

  • If a 17 game NFL regular season is cut short after 13 games and a market has been offered on a team to win Over/Under 7.5 games, if that team has won 6 games at the time of postponement the market will be made void.

  • If changes are made to the remainder of a tournament which alters the structure of a competition resulting in a change to the number of teams able to participate in the post season/playoffs stage of a tournament then all entries placed on markets relating to post season/playoffs that were not previously determined by a definitive result will be made void. For example:

  • If before the tournament was shortened there was an expected playoff field of 14 teams and this is reduced to 8 teams, selections within markets such as ‘To make the playoffs’ which had been previously undetermined will be made void.

  • If an entry was placed on a team to meet a certain criteria and this has already been settled as a winner based on original competition rules, Betr Social Sportsbook will honor the original settlement of a market and not seek to re-settle entries based on amended rulings by a governing body. For example, if a team had already clinched a playoff berth and markets such as ‘To make the playoffs’ had been settled accordingly, these markets would remain settled if the playoff field was subsequently reduced and the nominated team were removed from the competition.

8. Market Settlement & Re-Settlement

General:

  • Where the Specific Sports Rules do not specify how and on what basis a market will be settled, markets will be settled as per results passed directly from the governing body of the chosen sport or organization or by the official data provider.

  • If no official result is passed by the usual sources Betr Social Sportsbook will determine a result using independent sources. This will take place within 48 hours of the event reaching conclusion. If these sources conflict with an official result which is subsequently passed by the official data provider or governing body within 48 hours of entry settlement then Betr Social Sportsbook will resettle the market according to the official sources.

  • Where no reliable result can be sourced within a 12-hour timeframe of the event reaching a conclusion Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to make entries on the affected market(s) void.

  • In the event of a withdrawal of a selection after the start of an event due to such selection testing positive for a virus or other disease, all entries on that selection shall be void.

  • In the event a player, team or selection are deemed the winner of a specified Outright market with one winner (e.g. NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship) but were not offered for entry due to state regulations forbidding entryting on that player, team or selection then all entries placed on that market will be void. This does not include cashed out entries, which will be settled at the specified cash out offer received by the customer. For markets with multiple winners (e.g. To Make Final Four), if a non-listed player, team or selection wins, then all entries are action.

  • In player statistic markets offered on a single event, a player will be settled as void if they are not named to an active matchday roster/squad.

  • Regarding player markets. In Addition to the rules above:

  • All listed players must be active for entries to stand. If one or more player(s) listed do not play, all entries will be refunded.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook will not offer ‘Injury Insurance’; where for Player markets if a player plays in the first half but does not return in the second half entries on the “More Than…”(Over) will be graded as void.

Resettlement:

  • Markets are generally settled shortly after the end of the event in question. Betr Social Sportsbook may settle (or partially settle) markets before the official result is declared purely as a customer service benefit. However, Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to amend the settlement of the market if:

  • The official result is different to the result on which Betr Social Sportsbook initially settled the market.

  • The market event is eventually voided for another reason such as an abandonment event.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to amend the settlement of a market if it is settled in error. This can be caused by, but not limited to:

  • Human error by the Sportsbook itself.

  • Technical error.

  • Data error received from an official source.

  • If Betr Social Sportsbook resettles a market this may lead to adjustments being made to a customer's balance. In some instances, this may result in the deduction of funds from a customer’s Account to reflect changes in market settlement.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook may be required by law to seek approval with the relevant regulatory body before making any amendments to a price, settlement decision or entry status.

9. Abandoned, Canceled, Postponed or Forfeited Events

These rules should be referred to in the absence of a Sport-specific ruling. Where such ruling exists, it shall take precedence over the rules laid out in this section.

  • In the event that a game or competitions which are not held, canceled, postponed or forfeited, entries will be declared void unless the game or competition is scheduled to reach a conclusion within 48 hours from the last scheduled time issued by the governing body with the following exceptions where entries remain valid:

  • Events for which starting times have not been officially confirmed yet by the governing body at time of entry placement.

  • Events which are moved due to scheduling conflicts/tv broadcasts but remain scheduled to be played within the same matchday/game week/round (as applicable) and the change does not change the order of official fixtures for any of the participants in the offer.

  • Events which start times are anticipated (brought forward) but remain scheduled to be played within the same matchday/game week/round (as applicable) and, without prejudice to past-posting and similar occurrences as defined in Section A the change does not modify the order of official fixtures for any of the participants in the offer.

  • If any game is abandoned due to injury, bad weather, crowd trouble etc. all entries that have already been settled up until the time of abandonment will stand.

  • If a competition or tournament consisting of more than a single fixture, or a multi participant tournaments (such as a golf event) is abandoned, canceled, postponed, or forfeited, entries will be settled according to any result passed by the organizing body, or in the absence of such a result after a period of 48 hours from cancellation entries will be made void. In the instance of events which are abandoned, canceled, or forfeited after play has commenced, markets that have been determined in full will be settled as per usual rules. For example, if a golf tournament is canceled during the third round of play after the cut has already been made, entries on players to make or miss the cut would be settled in full.

10. Dead Head Settlement

Where a market has concluded and there are more winners than were expected given the market name and terms, where no tie break exists to determine a sole winner, entries will be settled as ‘dead heat’. Dead Heat payout is calculated by dividing the odds by the number of participants sharing those certain positions and are settled accordingly.

Payout Formula: (Original entry * ((Number of expected winners/ Number of Actual Winners) * Original Odds))

Example: if a customer places a $10 stake at original odds of 12.0 on the futures market ‘Passing Touchdowns Leader’ and their chosen selection finishes in a four-way tie, the stake would be divided by the number of winners (four in this instance) and settled accordingly. The customer would receive a payout of $30.00

Payout Calculation : ($10 * ((1/4)*10.00)) = $30.00

11. Duplicated Events/Selections

Betr Social Sportsbook will endeavor to prevent customers from entering on duplicated versions of the same selection, whether these are housed within one event or across multiple events. Duplicate selections will be classified as any selection requiring the same outcome, for example in Basketball: a team to win the first quarter (market: Winner (1st Quarter)) and the same team to win by more than 1 in the first quarter (market: To win or lose by (1st Quarter)).

In the event odds for the same exact game are displayed on the Betr Social Sportsbook more than once (regardless of whether the markets are related and/or displayed different multipliers), Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to void any correlated entries placed on the duplicated selections/markets/events.

12. Errors

Betr Social Sportsbook makes every effort to ensure that it does not make obvious errors when accepting entries. However, if as a result of technical or system problems or human error, an entry is accepted where:

  • The multiplier or spread/total line is on terms that are either materially different from those available in the general market at the time the entry was made

  • Clearly incorrect given the chance of the event occurring at the time the entry was made

In either case, Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to either:

  • Correct any obvious errors by settling winning entries at the ‘correct price’, as reasonably determined by Betr Social Sportsbook

  • Void any entries placed where such errors have occurred.

If Betr Social Sportsbook accepts a pick a market for which the outcome has already been determined, then that entry shall be declared void.

13. Maximum Payouts

For all events the maximum payout limits apply on a per day basis. The maximum payout limits refer to the total returns on your entries, excluding your original stake. The maximum payout limit applies on a personal basis, but where Betr Social Sportsbook has reason to believe that a customer has acted as a group to circumvent these limits and produce multiple accounts , Betr reserves the right to limit this customer or group of customers to a single maximum payout.

The maximum payout for all events is currently $500,000. Exceptions will be listed within this section of the rulebook where appropriate.

14. Boosts

“Boosts” (increased ‘multipliers’ promotions on specific selections) are offered a promotional pick specific selections or markets. Boosts can be offered as a straight entry, a packaged combo entry of two or more selections.

  • Unless otherwise stated, entries for which Odds Boosts are offered will be governed by Betr Social Sportsbook’s usual settlement rules.

  • If any selection within an Odds Boost is void under our Sportsbook House Rules or Sport-Specific Rules, the remaining selections will be used to determine the outcome of the entry at revised odds to reflect this. We will endeavor to keep the price boost reflected in the odds of the remaining leg(s).

  • Betr reserves the right to withdraw any Odds Boosts and edit the respective odds on the enhanced price.

  • Unless stated in the Odds Boost, the entries refer to the next official event that the listed team/participant(s) are scheduled to participate in.

15. Combos

A combo entry consists of two or more legs. A leg is defined as a chosen selection in any individual event market.

Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to prevent the placement of certain selections within combo entries in instances such as (but not restricted to):

  • A belief that the selections contain related contingency. If an entry of such nature is accepted in error Betr Social Sportsbook may take the decision to settle such entries as singles.

  • Where certain special markets are considered to be too complex to offer in multiples due to Betr Social Sportsbook being unable to block related contingency multiples.

  • Where a trading decision is taken that the business does not wish to offer combo entry on a certain event/market/selection.

Where one or more legs of a parlay is void for any reason, the entry will be settled using the remaining selections, which will become a new combo, or a single entry in the event that only one leg remains. Potential payout will be reduced to reflect the combined odds of the revised entry.

16. Same Game Combos

A “Same Game Combo” are "parlay style" entries, where it is possible to combine two or more selections from within a single game or event.

“Same Game Combo” are subject to the following settlement rules:

  • If all the selections within a pre-game Same Game Combo win, the entry will be settled as a win.

  • If any selection within a pre-game Same Game Combo are a push or void, and all remaining selection within that pre-game Same Game Combo are a win (i.e., there are no losing selections), the entry will be settled as a win with re-calculated odds and payout reflecting the remaining winning selections that are not a push or void.

  • If any selection within a pre-game Same Game Combo loses then the entry will be settled as losing.

  • If all selections within a pre-game Same Game Combo are a push or void, the pre-game same game Combo selections will be settled as no action.

19. Cash-out

Cash Out is a feature that is offered on selected singles and combos. Cash Out allows a customer to amend their original entry by settling your entry (or a portion of your entry) early, without having to wait for the event to finish.

  • For a variety of reasons (including, but not limited to, technical issues, human error, suspicions of fraud or other improprieties and/or other issues outside of our control), Betr Social Sportsbook cannot guarantee the availability at all times of the Cash Out functionality, even where the functionality has been advertised in connection with a particular event. Please be aware and accept, therefore, that unless Cash Out is available and successfully exercised in connection with a particular entry, your initial entry will, unless otherwise provided in accordance with these Sportsbook House Rules, stand as originally placed.

  • Upon cashing out a message will be shown to acknowledge the successful Cash Out and your entry (or the relevant portion of your entry) will be settled immediately and any returns added to your account equal to the Cash Out offer previously accepted. This return includes the original stake (or portion of stake in the instance of a partial Cash Out). For a full Cash Out, the entry is settled and any subsequent events will have no impact on the amount returned to your account; this including the voiding of an abandoned event. For a partial Cash Out, part of your entry is settled and any subsequent events will only impact on the portion of your entry which you have not Cashed Out.

  • In the case a promotion which requires a qualifying entry to be placed is considered disqualified if the qualifying entry is cashed out. Please check individual terms and conditions for a promotion before entry placement for confirmation.

  • Cash Out values are reflective of current odds and are therefore bound by the sportsbook rules relating to technical or human error. These can be found in the rulebook section entitled ‘Errors’. If an incorrect Cash Out offer is presented to a customer due to a technical fault and then subsequently accepted, Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to resettle the entry using the correct Cash Out offer.

  • Cash Out requests made in-play may take longer to process because of the in-play entry delay.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to suspend or disable the Cash Out feature at any time.

20. Miscellaneous

  • Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right in its sole discretion not to accept certain Sportsbook entries, or to scale back the stakes (on a per user or aggregate basis).

  • All references to time periods in the Additional Social Sports Rules relate to the time zone in which the event takes place. For example, a reference to the start time of a football game, relates to the local kick-off time.

  • All information supplied by Betr Social Sportsbook is done so in good faith. However, Betr Social Sportsbook cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions in respect of any information, such as the posting of prices, runners, times, scores, results or general statistics.

  • Any results or scores of which you may be advised by a Betr Social Sportsbook employee or agent (for example during entering in-play) are provided for guidance purposes only.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that they satisfy themselves that the selection on which they place an entry is their intended selection. For example, in the case of a competitor bearing the same name as another individual not competing in the relevant event, the onus is on the customer to ensure that they know which competitor is being referred to in the relevant market and to ensure that they are placing their pick their chosen competitor.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook may, in its sole and absolute discretion, decide to suspend entryting on a market at any time (even if such suspension is earlier than anticipated by the Additional Social Sports Rules). In the interests of maintaining integrity and fairness in the markets, Betr Social Sportsbook may also void certain entries in a market or void a whole market in its entirety.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook promotions are available at the discretion of Betr Social Sportsbook and Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right to restrict the availability of a promotion to any person at its absolute discretion.

  • Betr Social Sportsbook reserves the right, at our discretion, to perform any and all reasonable investigations on customers for the purpose of verifying information about customers such as source of funds, background history, and creditworthiness.

21. Structuring of entries

  • Patrons are prohibited from the structuring of entries to avoid federal currency transaction reporting thresholds. All entries with Betr are subject to AML standards, including triggers and requirements for filing of currency transaction reports and suspicious activity reports.

22. Limiting

  • Betr maintains the sole right and has the ability to limit the maximum entry amount for any entry placed on its platform.

Specific Sports Rules

General Football Rules

  • Games must start in the same scheduling week of the league for entries to have action:

  • For the NFL, the scheduling week is Thursday - Wednesday.

  • For the NCAA, the scheduling is Tuesday - Monday

  • For all other football leagues, the scheduling week will be considered as Monday – Sunday

  • Games must have a minimum of 55 minutes official game time for entries to have action.

  • If a game is not completed/paused and fewer than 55 minutes of official game time have been played and is not resumed within 24 hours at the same venue, then all entries that are not unequivocally determined will be voided.

  • For markets that apply to a specific period (half/quarter/etc.) will not have action if the entire period isn’t played in full unless the result has already been determined or other special terms apply. Period markets played to completion will be deemed to have action if the game is not completed.

  • If a game is halted at any time, and replayed in full, all entries will be void.

  • If a game venue is changed, and the home team remains designated as such, entries will stand.

  • If a game venue is changed, and the home and away team’s listings are reversed, entries placed on the original listing will be void.

  • Forfeited games, whether won or lost, will not count as a game played or completed (or any other similar term) for settlement purposes.

  • Markets will include Overtime for settlement purposes unless otherwise stated. If markets do exclude Overtime they will be clearly marked with “Excl. OT” for leagues that offer Overtime.

  • For the sake of clarity, markets that apply to the 4th quarter DO NOT consider Overtime, while markets that apply to the 2nd half DO consider Overtime.

  • All settlements are based on results and statistics provided by the relevant league’s governing body.

  • In the absence of a statistical result being provided by the official organizing body for any market that is required for settlement, Betr Social Sportsbook will seek a reputable independent source for entry settlement.

  • Player markets, or other statistically dependent markets, are settled when the game is final, and when the necessary statistics are readily available on the league’s official website, or by the official statistical provider of the league. Any subsequent statistical changes after these markets are settled will not result in a re-settlement

  • In 2-way markets, push rules apply unless otherwise stated, i.e. the market entryed on results in a “tie” and the entry is considered neither a winner nor a loser.

Overview of Specific Market Rules

Moneyline/Handicap/Totals Markets:

  • Markets will include Overtime for settlement purposes unless otherwise stated. If markets do exclude Overtime they will be clearly marked with “Excl. OT” for leagues that offer Overtime.

  • In the event that after Overtime markets result in a tie, for 2-way markets, push rules apply unless otherwise stated.

  • Where a 3-way market is offered listing each team and the ‘tie’ as entryting options, entries will be settled according to the result.

Period (Quarter & Half) Markets:

  • For entries based on a specific period (Quarter or Half), the entire period must be played for entries to stand.

  • Markets specified for the fourth quarter DO NOT include Overtime.

  • Markets specified for the second half DO include Overtime.

  • Unless otherwise stated all handicap and total markets are to be calculated based on the result from the start of the listed period to the end of the specified period. Examples:

  • Handicap (To win or lose by (3rd Quarter)): If the score was 14-14 at the start of the 3rd Quarter and the score was 21-17 at end of the 3rd quarter, then the scoreline referenced in the 3rd Quarter handicap entry would be 7-3.

  • Total Points (2nd Quarter): If the score was 10-7 at the start of the 2nd quarter and the score was 13-14 at end of the 2nd quarter, then the total points scored in the 2nd quarter would be 10.

Proposition or Prop Markets:

  • For Player Prop markets, only when a player does not play a snap in that game are the selections voided. All other entries stand, with the exception of Kickers.

  • For Head2Head markets, both players need to play a snap in their game for entries to have actions.

  • For Odd or Even markets, zero is considered an even number.

  • In the event of an abandoned game, all entries will be declared void, unless a market result is already determined through the course of play that has taken place.

  • For Longest Completion/Reception/Rush, if the specified player does not record a respective statistic, then entries on that market will be declared void.

General Baseball Rules

These rules apply to Major League (MLB), all levels of Minor League, NCAA and World Baseball. World Baseball is defined as a league which is governed outside of the United States.

  • The game must start on the scheduled day (local stadium time) for entries to have action.

  • In the result of a game being called early and a result being deemed by the officiating crew and/or the organizing body the following rules apply:

  • Moneyline market: The game must be a minimum of 4.5 innings completed for entries to have action. For clarity sake, if 4.5 innings have been played and the home team is winning, then the home team wins. If play is suspended during the bottom of the 5th innings and the away team is winning, then entries will be void.

  • All Others: The game must go at least 9 full innings (8.5 innings if the home team is ahead resulting in the end of the game) entries will not stand, unless the result of the market is already determined.

  • If a regular season game is halted or postponed and not subsequently concluded within 24 hours all entries will be voided, unless the market has already determined.

  • If a play-off game is halted or postponed, all entries will remain valid until the completion of the game as per the governing body’s determination. Should no further play occur but a team is awarded a win then entries will be voided, unless the market has already determined.

  • Markets will include Extra Innings for settlement purposes unless otherwise stated. If markets do exclude Overtime they will be clearly marked with “9 Innings only” for leagues that offer Extra Innings.

Overview of Specific Markets

Moneyline/Handicap/Totals Markets:

  • Markets will include Extra Innings for settlement purposes unless otherwise stated. If markets do exclude Overtime they will be clearly marked with “9 Innings only” for leagues that offer Extra Innings.

  • In the event that after Extra Innings markets result in a tie, for 2-way markets, push rules apply unless otherwise stated.

  • Where a 3-way market is offered listing each team and the ‘tie’ as entryting options, entries will be settled according to the result.

  • In the result of a game being called early and a result being deemed by the officiating crew and/or the organizing body the following rules apply:

  • Moneyline: will be settled following the ‘4.5 Inning Rule’.

  • Handicap/Totals: entries will not stand, unless the result of the market is already determined.

Period (Innings/Half Innings) Markets

  • For entries based on a specific period (Inning/Half Inning), the entire period must be played for entries to stand.

  • Unless otherwise stated all handicap and total markets are to be calculated based on the result from the start of the listed period to the end of the specified period. Examples:

  • Handicap (To win or lose by (3rd Inning)): If the score was 0-2 at the start of the 2nd Inning and the score was 2-3 at end of the 2nd Inning, then the scoreline referenced in the 3rd Inning handicap entry would be 2-1.

  • Total Runs (5th Inning): If the score was 4-5 at the start of the 5th Inning and the score was 4-6 at end of the 5th Inning, then the total runs scored in the 5th Inning would be 1.

Proposition or Prop Markets

  • For Player Prop markets, only when a player does not play in that game are the selections voided. All other entries stand.

  • For Odd or Even props, zero is considered an even number.

  • For Total Bases props, only bases gained on hits will be counted. Singles will be counted as one base, doubles as two bases, triples as three bases and home runs as four bases.

  • For On Base props, the number of times the player gets on base is counted.

  • For Plate Appearance markets intentional walks will be settled as void. Fielder’s choice will be settled as ‘In Play Out’. The player will be determined to get on base when they are walked and a runner is tagged out to end the innings.

  • For Pitch-by-pitch markets any type of hit will be settled as ‘In-play’, including any bases reached on error or a failed fielder’s choice. If a player is hit by a pitch or there is a pitch out then ‘Ball’ will be settled as the winning selection. Intentional walks will be settled as voided.

  • 3 Up, 3 Down: This occurs when only three batters come to the plate and record official plate appearances during the listed half-inning. It is possible for players to reach base and for a “3 Up, 3 Down” to still occur (e.g., Runner caught stealing, double play, etc.).

Live Entries:

  • Odds offered are for the whole game inclusive of any overtime played, unless otherwise stated.

  • If a live prop specifies the pitcher, the entry will stand only if the listed pitcher remains on the mound until the determination of the entry. If the pitcher is not specified in the market name, then all entries have action regardless of pitcher changes.

  • As the markets are live, Betr reserves the right to close the market at any time.

  • When scores, game time or statistically game data is shared during a game, every effort is made to ensure the accuracy. However, no liability is accepted for incorrect information displayed.

Outcomes After Xth Inning:

  • The specified Inning must be completed for entries to action.

  • These markets will result as if the game had resulted at the end of that inning. For example:

  • A entryed placed on the Winner (moneyline) after 3rd Inning market will reference the scoreline from the start of the 1st Inning to the end of the 3rd Inning.
