Every market on Predictions comes with a rules page, and that page is what ultimately decides how a trade you place on the Betr app gets settled.
Rules come first, always
Don't judge a market by its title. A title like "Will Tim Cook remain Apple's CEO through the end of the year?"* tells you the topic, but it's the rules section underneath that spells out the resolution source, the exact cutoff date, and how edge cases get handled. If there's ever a conflict between what the title implies and what the rules say, the rules win.
When a clarification happens
Occasionally, the people running the market need to sharpen or adjust those rules, a process known as clarifying the market. The moment that happens, every resting order in that market's order book gets wiped out and canceled. If the clarification is flagged ahead of time rather than dropped without warning, the order book clears right when that announcement goes out, not later when the actual change takes effect.
Why it matters to you
If you've got an open limit order sitting in a market, a clarification can erase it without notice. It's a good habit to check back on markets you're active in, especially ones tied to fast-moving news, so a rule change doesn't catch your open orders off guard.
