Why did I get an error while depositing?

Deposit error

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you received an error attempting to deposit, you may have encountered some kind of technical issue. Please try the following troubleshooting steps to see if the issue corrects itself:

  • Force quit the application

  • Log out and log back into your app

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the application

  • Reset or change the WIFI connection

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Betr app

Common reasons for a deposit to fail Additional reasons might include processor rejections, bank restrictions explicitly targeting gaming-related transactions, mismatched account details, and cooldown periods after failed attempts.

If you were able to submit a deposit but it was declined, it may be due to the following:

  • Your financial institution has certain restrictions on online gaming/gambling

  • Insufficient funds

  • Card details are incorrect (number, name, billing address)- Processor rejections due to internal payment checks

  • Temporary cooldown periods (24-48 hours) after multiple failed attempts

If your financial institution has restrictions on online gaming/gambling, we suggest using a different payment method. For instance, you can try using PayPal or Venmo, which are supported payment methods on Betr. Ensure these accounts are linked to your bank account to prevent additional issues.

Verify that your personal details, such as billing address and name, match the information on your bank account or card. Additionally, consider contacting your bank to check for transaction restrictions or allow gaming-related payments. If you have made several unsuccessful attempts, wait for the 24–48-hour cooldown period to pass before trying again.

If you continue to have trouble making a deposit, please reach out to support at [email protected] so we can investigate the issue.
