How can I update my Account Information?

You can change certain account details from within the account details section within the app.

Email

  • Select "Edit" next to your current email

  • Input the new email. The change will be reflected immediately

You can process an email change via our messenger bot by following the prompts in the automated system listed below:

Phone Number

  • Select "Edit" next to your current phone number

  • Enter the 6-digit code that is sent to your betr account email

  • Enter your new phone number

  • Verify the code that is sent via text message to confirm

If you cannot log in due to the number being outdated or belonging to another account

Phone Number Usage Rules

  1. Can I use the same email to create an account with a new phone number? Yes, you can use the same email address and add a new phone number to create an account, as long as you do not already have a verified account.

  2. Can I use my phone number if it was previously linked to another Betr account? Yes, provided the number has been successfully removed from the other account, it becomes eligible for reuse.

  3. Can I use a phone number that is associated with another verified Betr account? No, each phone number must be uniquely linked to a single user account.

Address

In order to update the address on file, please connect with our Support team. We will need to verify your government-issued ID or passport, along with proof of residency.

Proof of Residency

Examples of accepted proof of residency include:

  • Utility bills (e.g., electricity, water, or gas bills)

  • Mortgage or lease agreements

  • Bank statements

Each document must clearly display your name and the address registered to your Betr account and should be dated within the last three months. Note: Ensure that the documents are dated within the last 60 days.

Important information

  • The phone number you use must be US-based. Temporary numbers are not permitted.

  • Updating your address on betr will not resolve any billing address errors. If you are experiencing a billing address issue, please contact Support or remove the card with the old billing address, then add it back with the updated billing address via deposit/purchase.
